In pottery, the greatest excitement for me is to take a hand full of clay and be able to give it a life of its own.

Known for her long-time work at Rocky Mountain PBS,  Ortrud “Trudy” Fowler is also one of the Colorado Potter’s Guild most energetic potters. Her pots have had great success.  They are strong in form, and glazed with a professional touch.

It is not surprising that her teachers have been Ed Osher, Helen Giesl and Duncan Gonzales.  Trudy was inducted into the Silver Circle of the National Academy of Television Arts and sciences, and currently works as a volunteer at Rocky Mountain PBS.

Ortrud is currently serving as the Membership Chairwoman for the Colorado Potters Guild.  She can be reached at ortrudfowler@q.com.  Visit the Membership page to find out more information about how to become a member of the Colorado Potters Guild.
