Our Studio

The Colorado Potters Guild is located in a former dairy on historic South Pearl Street in Denver, CO.  The guild’s building provides studio space for members to work and features:

  • 2 Randall kick wheels

  • 5 electric wheels (one is a standing wheel)

  • Electric slab roller

  • Extruder

  • Glaze mixing area

  • Sculpture/Table work area(s)

  • Chemical storage area

  • Damp room

  • Spray booth

  • 2 large gas kilns

  • 1 Vapor (soda) kiln

  • 2 electric kilns

We work together to keep a mix of Midrange (oxidation) glazes and a large number of high-fire (reduction) glazes available for use. You can also make up personal batches of custom glazes if you would like.

We stock a large variety of high-fire and mid-range clays as well for easy access. Chemical/Glaze costs are factored into all clay purchases. If you bring outside clay you will need to pay a nominal chemical/glaze fee.

The guild is not currently open to the public and is not large enough for our biannual sales events.  In May and November, the Colorado Potters Guild rents space at a local church that is large enough to accommodate everyone’s pottery and the amount of people who visit our shows
